The Ultimate Term-Time UK School Experience

Kingston study centre (KSC) offers the students the opportunity to immerse themselves into the British education system by participating in an school integration programme. We partner with a number of local schools, including an innovative, international-curriculum focused school thoroughout the UK to provide our students a truly memorable experience. Our partner schools are rated Outstanding & Good in Ofsted rating system and provide the perfect opportunity for students to experience the UK’s exciting diversity

Our programme is ideal for 8 to 18-year-old students who want to experience the British curriculum, make new friends and practise English in an authentic environment. Students can immerse themselves in UK school life and enjoy subjects that they may not be able to study at home. Students will study each day with British students and will participate in all aspects of the school day during their visit.

Experience the National Curriculum in an English School

Immersive learning

All English schools are required to follow the national curriculum which covers all areas of learning and experiences. The main aspect of this programme is to provide the opportunity for all students to experience the curriculum as well as the cultural exchange. They will participate in all lessons, including English, Maths, all Sciences, History, Geography and many more, all of which are taught according to the British National Curriculum.

A ‘Helping Hand’ – and a New Friend

Each of our guest-students will be allocated a ‘buddy’ for their time in school – someone to guide them through their day and help them make most out of their time at school. They will follow their buddy’s timetable throughout their stay, participating in all aspects of the curriculum. An allocated ‘go-to’ staff member will be there to answer any of their questions and provide any additional help that is needed. In our experience, English children enjoy this exchange as much as their visitors as they learn about different cultures from one another.

Extracurricular Activities

Our international students can enjoy a number of extracurricular activities. Once the school day ends, a KSC Team member will meet the group at the school ready to deliver a fun and interesting activity or excursion within the local area or in London. These activities can involve photography workshops, book clubs and visits to local markets and landmarks such as Kingston’s historic marketplace and Hampton Court Palace. Activities end around 17:30, the students will be accompanied to the bus interchange or to their pickup location for their return to their respective host families. Students who are staying in a university residential will be accompanied back to the centre, ready to have their evening meal. We have many more activities and excursions on offer and can tailor an excursion to your meet your needs. Please feel free to contact us to discuss further.

Faster English Skills Development

Life in an English school gives the students the opportunity to improve their skills and confidence in the English language at a speed that they may not achieve with their education at home. Interaction with English children also means that they learn new words and phrases that they might not necessarily learn in their lessons. Students may also pick up to colloquial language and idioms which they can then use to practise their English in an authentic way.

Adapt to British Life with Homestay Accommodation

Homestay accommodation gives School Integration students the chance to gain an authentic experience of the UK and to practise their English outside the classroom. They will be able to use English in a relaxed environment, and they will be able to pick up new vocabulary and improve their pronunciation. Students will enjoy everyday life in an English home, sample English food and experience British culture, adopting the same lifestyle as their new British school friends.

A Flexible Programme with Excellent Partners

KSC works with several excellent partner schools throughout London and the rest of the UK, which have been graded as “good” or “outstanding” by Ofsted, the two top grades, meaning that you can have confidence in their quality of education. Ofsted is the Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills, and is a government department. They inspect schools in England and Wales and focus on curriculum, learner behaviour, and personal development. This ensures that your students are in a beneficial environment where they will experience rewarding tuition and full immersion into the UK school life. We work with various school types, open from September to July. You can choose from state schools & academies, private schools and boarding schools (subject to availability).
